For all you homeschoolers out there, you can now calculate how many km's we did altogether!
I (Anna-Lee) woke up saying "Today we get to go home!" I was excited to be going home, but there were still a couple things I had hoped to do in Québec City. First I wanted to get up to the statue of Champlain. Last time there was some magician doing stuff with a couple hundred people around. Last night there was someone else doing their show around the statue so I still didn't get up close to him. But I did this morning!

I was the only one who wanted to have a big breakfast., so we ended up getting just a muffin or bagel and some fruit and eating on a bench by the river and the Champlain Statue! There was a saxophonist playing so Dad really liked it. We all enjoyed it.

The other thing I had really wanted to do was to use their funicular! Mom says it is like a gondola and elevator combined.

It was a pretty neat ride and we ended up in a bunch of old narrow French streets. They were pretty.

One street was cobblestone (the ohters were like a tile like the photo above) so Monica bounced all over the place. We walked around for a bit and then went back up the funicular and drove home.

| Although the funicular was wheelchair accessible, none of the shops in the Lower town were. You can see 2 - 5 steps for every store. But, for us that's OK. We don't shop - we only wanted to walk. |
I (Monica) am glad to have my dog back! He was very excited to see me and ran in circles and kept coming back to jump on my lap. Everyone was laughing.
It is good to be home.

Mom however, started missing the Maritimes about 5 minutes out of Moncton!
We all say thank you for joining us on our travels as you read our blog, and we thank those of you who prayed for us. It was a fun, fantastic adventure seeing God's creation in another part of Canada and experiencing the history we studied for months beforehand!
